So I have two more papers to write up. For my premodern history class, I just don't think there's enough material in the given topic to get up to the required 8 pages without a shitload of padding. And for my modern history class, the topic is very broad, and I am having difficulty thinking of a way to frame and layout the paper.

So I've been looking around gathering up material and such, but just don't feel like sitting there and writing these bad boys out. I can tell already that they'll be disorganized and convoluted no matter how much time I spend on them. This is what I like to call "setting your students up for failure." Poor topic and poor direction = poor paper. End of story. Period.
